About The Poet

​

I am Dr Gowher Yusuf, a paediatrician, life skill coach and NLP Practitioner by profession.

I started my writing journey about twenty-plus years ago with small pieces of articles which were published in newspapers then. I slowly evolved into writing poems and published my first book “Silver Lining” in 2000 by Poets International, India, re-edited the same collection of poems and published it as “Broken Pieces” in 2014 by Educreation Publishing House, India. I have also authored a book titled " Al Jumu'ah: The Day of Congregation, in 2010, published by the International Islamic Publishing House, Saudi Arabia.

 

I like putting my emotions, opinions and experiences into my writing. I like being able to make my poems a way my readers can connect to and relate by generalizing my experiences and thoughts. I believe that I have a strong relationship with the words I weave into verses.

 

I have completed writing my second collection of poems, “Unspoken Words”, which I will very soon publish as a paperback and Ebook. I am currently working on the third collection of poems.
